The European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE) has introduced an exciting opportunity for emerging talents in the field of wind energy. This initiative is designed to support participation in the Wind Energy Science Conference 2025, the upcoming EAWE PhD Seminars, or contribute towards publication fees in the Wind Energy Science Journal.

European Academy of Wind Energy Scholarship Program

Scholarship Details:

  • Number of Scholarships: 10
  • Value per Scholarship: EUR 500
  • Focus Areas: All topics of Wind Energy
  • Special Encouragement:
    • A minimum of 3 scholarships is suggested to be awarded within the domains of humanities and economics.
    • Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply, with a plan to award 5 scholarships to qualified female candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to PhD students or early career scientists within 3 years post-PhD defence.
  • A letter of support is required from a colleague at an institution that is a member of the academy, other than the student's advisor or supervisor.

Application Requirements:

  • CV: A 2-page Curriculum Vitae.
  • Idea Description: A 250-word description of the idea intended for presentation at the conference or for the journal paper.
  • Impact Discussion: A 250-word discussion on the potential impact of the idea.
  • Letter of Support: Must be from a qualifying colleague as per the eligibility criteria.
  • Submission title: ‘EAWE Scholarship Scheme – Applicant name’

Important Dates:

  • Call Opens: March 15th, 2024
  • Call Closes: May 31st, 2024
